From 2023, the portrait of King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings, will be depicted on every new coin of the Royal Mint.

On the back of the Lunar UK series, one of the animals of the Chinese lunar calendar is depicted. The eye-catching design for the reverse of the coin was created by Wuon-Gean Ho, an outstanding British artist of Chinese origin. Wuon-Gean Ho is an expert artist who used his knowledge of art history and veterinary medicine to depict each of the emblematic Chinese zodiac signs in a unique and very realistic way.
